FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions
Before ordering
- The goods are shipped after your payment has been received, provided that the order or parts of it are not on backorder.
- When the goods are shipped you will receive an e-mail notification with the Hermes or DHL tracking number.
- You can track your shipment online at www.myhermes.de or www.dhl.de.
- Our bright zinc-plated sleeves have no problems with corrosion or rust if the bushes are lubricated correctly during installation (re-greasing is not necessary!). After the sleeve is pressed in, the grease collects in the honeycomb structure in the bore of the bush. Because the sleeve is pressed in tightly, no water or dirt can get between sleeve and bush, so no rust can form.
- When the control arm pivots, the bush turns together with the arm around the sleeve. Bright zinc-plated sleeves have a lower coefficient of friction than stainless steel sleeves, which lets the arm pivot more freely.
- For more than 30 years we have only offered bright zinc-plated sleeves and have never had any problems with them.
Either your authorised dealer can help you if you give them the chassis number, or you can measure the bar with a calliper. Measure directly next to the original rubber, as on some vehicles the anti-roll bars taper towards the outside!
If the vehicle is very old (around 20 years), it is rather unlikely that bushes will still be developed for it. If it is a newer vehicle model, there is a good chance that bushes will become available in the near future. Custom manufacture to size is very time-consuming and costly, so we do not offer it. However, you can have bushes made yourself from polyurethane raw material in cylinder form on a lathe or at a CNC shop. You will find the raw material in the online catalogue under vehicle manufacturer "Universal" or with one click here. It is supplied as a cylinder in 30 cm lengths and can be ordered in different diameters and hardness grades.
Aftermarket bushes (e.g. from Lemförder, Meyle etc.) are sold without a report and without explicit approval, so it is not understandable why inspectors demand a registration for our products. Our bushes have been tested in motorsport and by TÜV Austria in a laboratory test, which indicates a high quality standard.
We are, however, the only manufacturer of PU bushes with a TÜV clearance. We had the SuperPro material tested by the TÜV in an extensive laboratory test and can provide you with this TÜV clearance if there are any problems at the vehicle inspection. So far all "critical" inspectors have accepted this clearance. Please note, however, that it is a certificate of harmlessness (with reference to German road traffic licensing regulations, StVZO) and does not allow a registration under §19.3. Depending on the inspector's discretion, a registration under §21 (individual approval) could possibly be based on it. You would have to clarify this directly with your inspector.
We are happy to send our customers this clearance as a printout together with the goods. Please let us know when ordering, in the comment field.
Please note that we only hand out the clearance to our customers or customers of our dealers. If you have, for example, bought SuperPro items abroad, we unfortunately cannot provide the TÜV clearance.
We guarantee that all SuperPro bushes deliver a very good result in terms of handling, driving behaviour etc. The hardness of the bushes is optimally tuned for both everyday road use and track driving. In some cases we even offer bushes with a harder compound, which are therefore mainly suited to motorsport. Where these are available for your vehicle, they are also listed in the shop.

After ordering
First of all, the old rubber mounts have to be removed. Our videos under the menu item Media/Video illustrate this in various ways.
A press with a suitable adapter can be used to press out the old bushes. If no press is available, the old rubber can also be burnt out with a gas torch or similar and the old metal shell knocked out with a chisel (if necessary saw into it beforehand with a fret saw - but be careful: do not damage the control arm!!). The seat then has to be cleaned of rust with sandpaper.
All SuperPro bushes can now be fitted with normal tools. Usually all you need is a vice or a clamp. Please see the corresponding installation video. Another option is a threaded rod fitted with a nut and a large washer. This is passed through the metal core of the bush and pressed into the seat from above with another nut and washer.
Every kit also includes a special lubricant (if required) that allows straightforward installation. Please use only the enclosed lubricant. Other lubricants are not suitable and will void the warranty!
After installation, please tighten all bolts to the torque specified by the vehicle manufacturer. Please note that installation should be left to qualified personnel only. We are not liable for any damage caused by incorrect installation!
In addition, a wheel alignment and adjustment should be carried out after changing control arm bushes.
Special case: on vehicles that are extremely low, our adjustable drop links can be used for more clearance. However, this always has to be tested on the vehicle itself, depending on the components fitted. If necessary, the drop links may have to be ordered one size shorter. You should measure this on the vehicle beforehand. An overview of all lengths can be found in the catalogue under vehicle manufacturer "- Universal -".
- Tooling: a razor-sharp CNC tool should be used to cut up the raw material.
- Machining speed: 2000 RPM at 1 bar
- Mandrel: when turning the outside diameter of long parts, a mandrel should be used.
- Boring: apply pressure when boring. After the hole has been drilled, let the drill dwell in the hole for a moment - the polyurethane melts and leaves a clean surface.
Tip for machining raw material in 70 Shore: to make the material easier to machine, we recommend putting it in the freezer the day before. An illustrated machining guide is available here on the manufacturer's website.
30-year SuperPro warranty
On all products bought from us, with the exception of the Roll Control product line, you receive the 30-year SuperPro warranty from the manufacturer. This warranty supplements the statutory warranty conditions and applies throughout Europe. The warranty covers material and manufacturing defects that existed at the time of purchase. In the event of a justified defect we will remedy it by repair, replacement delivery or compensation for the reduced value, at our choice. The warranty only applies if the purchased item was fitted in compliance with all relevant regulations, including the safety notes and installation instructions of the product.
The following are excluded from the warranty:
- all damage caused by improper handling, accidents or disregard of the instructions for use.
- all damage caused by exclusive use in motorsport or in hard off-road use, such as hill climbs.
- all damage caused by fitting our products to vehicles for which we do not list the respective product in the online catalogue.
- product finish and normal wear
Justified defects must be reported within four weeks of becoming aware of them, presenting the original proof of purchase.
The warranty period is not extended after a warranty service has been carried out. Reimbursement of installation and/or consequential costs is not accepted.
Roll Control products (mainly drop links, tie rod ends, ball joints and other products with joints) can be recognised in the web catalogue on the article detail pages by the following logo:
For these products a warranty of 3 years/60,000 km is granted.
The warrantor is Zeder Corporation Pty Ltd, 580A Transition Drive, Archerfield, QLD, 4108, Australia.
In addition to the warranty you are entitled to statutory warranty claims. These are not restricted by making use of the warranty and can be asserted against SuperPro Deutschland, Inh. Christian Maier, Bergstraße 20, 91074 Herzogenaurach, Germany.
Information on the warranty is also available on the manufacturer's website.

Yes, SuperPro bushes give you significantly better handling than rubber bushes. Fitting SuperPro bushes is especially recommended if the vehicle is used both on the track and on the road, as nylon bushes or solid components are unsuitable for road use.

About our products
The transparent SuperPro grease was developed specifically for use with SuperPro polyurethane material and is silicone-based, which protects the grease against drying out and thus ensures a long service life of the bush. The helical knurling in the bore of the bush also ensures that the grease stays there and lubrication is ensured for a long time. In contrast to common lubricants such as copper paste, SuperPro grease lasts considerably longer without drying out. Especially with copper paste it very often happens that the bushes have to be re-greased, because noise is caused by direct friction between metal and polyurethane.
These bushes have an eccentric bore instead of a centred one. If the eccentric bore is oriented towards the ground when the bush is pressed in, the suspension geometry on the front axle can be changed so that traction noticeably increases during fast acceleration. This is achieved by moving the mount of the lower control arm slightly downwards (through an eccentric bore in the bush). Among other things this reduces body rocking/squatting of the rear axle during fast acceleration (known as anti-lift) and increases front-axle dive under heavy braking, which noticeably increases grip in both situations because more weight stays on the front axle.
Alternatively this set can be used to create more positive caster, which among other things improves cornering because the vehicle starts to understeer later (i.e. slides wide over the front axle) and can therefore be driven at a higher cornering speed.
Depending on how the eccentric bush is pressed in, either caster can be increased or the anti-lift setting can be used. This is described in the enclosed instructions with text and drawings. If you have any questions about installation, we are also happy to help.
Yes. The polyurethane compounds used for SuperPro bushes stay flexible even at very cold temperatures. However, if the vehicle is used for a long time at temperatures below -40 degrees Celsius, bushes with a softer material hardness should be used. SuperPro products have already been successfully tested in the Antarctic, the northern Arctic Circle and in Northern and Eastern Europe.
A Running Gear Kit is a complete kit without anti-roll bar bushes.
So-called offset bushes have an eccentric bore in the pin or in the bush itself. This allows the caster or camber of the vehicle (depending on the type of suspension) to be changed by pressing the bush in at a specific position (illustrated installation instructions are enclosed, and we are also happy to help with installation). The adjustment range is not continuous; the bore specifies a fixed value. Depending on the position of the eccentric bore when pressing in, camber/caster can be influenced in a + or - direction. For caster a more positive value is naturally recommended; for camber either positive or negative, depending on whether you want more negative camber to improve cornering behaviour or want to correct an excessively negative camber value (e.g. due to extreme lowering) back towards positive to avoid one-sided tyre wear.
Yes, by fitting SuperPro polyurethane bushes you will notice a clear difference compared with rubber bushes. The steering becomes considerably more precise and handling in extreme situations is also improved. In addition, tyre life is significantly longer because traction increases.
With normal use you can assume that they last about 5 to 6 times longer than normal rubber bushes. The insensitivity to water, oil, ultraviolet light and road salt in particular makes polyurethane bushes very durable. What matters here is that sufficient lubrication is ensured. Please use only the supplied special grease, which is optimally matched to the properties of the SuperPro polyurethane material and thus ensures a long service life.
