Why you should fit SuperPro bushes on new vehicles too
One of the questions the SuperPro team is asked again and again: "Why should you replace intact original rubber bushes with SuperPro products?" It is a very good question. When a vehicle leaves the production line it feels "new": the steering responds well, the suspension feels right and there seem to be no handling problems. But that is only part of the story.
It is a well-known fact that rubber deteriorates over time – and not only because of high mileage or heavy wear. Over time rubber also becomes softer all by itself through the influence of the elements or petrochemical substances and loses its resilience, meaning it is less and less able to return to its original shape after a force has been applied.
For the average driver it is very difficult to feel this "decay" of the rubber bushes in the steering behaviour, because it usually happens very slowly.
Depending on how a vehicle is driven, however, this process can happen faster than you think. Some vehicle manufacturers even admit that certain parts wear faster than you would normally expect. This is especially the case when rubber bushes are used in situations that require twisting or absorbing large forces.
When bushes wear out, other suspension components are put under more stress, which in turn changes the suspension geometry and increasingly worsens handling. When the geometry goes out of tolerance, the wheels no longer follow a proper path when steering. This eventually leads to uneven tyre wear and has an adverse effect on other load-bearing components.
Thanks to the special polyurethane material and the special "hot-pour/thermo-setting" casting process, SuperPro bushes always keep their original shape. This ensures that SuperPro bushes are not prone to the problems described above like rubber, and the suspension can work as intended. The result is a long-life bush that always works perfectly. Thanks to the well-thought-out design of SuperPro bushes, the ride does not become "harsh" and no additional noise occurs, as is often associated with products from other manufacturers of polyurethane suspension bushes.
Replacing worn-out rubber bushes with SuperPro products is already widespread. Tests have shown, however, that fitting SuperPro bushes on new vehicles increases the service life of the suspension components, even when other modifications such as lowering are carried out. Controlled bush movement extends the life of the suspension components and reduces tyre wear – with much better handling!
