FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

How many kits do I need for my car?
For each location on the vehicle, a SuperPro kit supplied contains the necessary parts to replace both sides of the car.

What is resilience?
Resilience is the speed at which an elastomer will return to its original shape after being deformed.

Are they difficult to fit?
All SuperPro bushes can be fitted with normal workshop tools and equipment. Grease is supplied with every kit where necessary for effective operation and will also help fitment. Please click here for fitting instrcuctions.

What is the life expectancy of SuperPro Polyurethane Bushes?
In normal use you should expect SuperPro to last 5 to 6 times longer than the original rubber component. However, as polyurethane does not acquire a "Set" in the same way as rubber, nor is it affected by contaminants such as ultraviolet light, oil, petrol, diesel, salt, water, hydraulic fluid etc, it can in fact last considerably longer.

Does the colour of your bushes indicate how hard the ride will be when fitted?
No. Colour coding by material hardness would result in us either specifying multi-coloured car kits of varying hardness of material, or kits of one colour of the same material hardness that would offer a compromised result to our customers. SuperPro believes that it is important to supply a bush that is designed to achieve the optimum performance for its location on the car. This means that a single car may need bushes of three or four different hardness's of material to deliver the best improvement in suspension performance without creating excessive levels of NVH.

Do SuperPro Polyurethane Bushes come with a warranty?
Yes 3 years or 60,000 Km.

Is it possible to fit SuperPro Polyurethane Bushes for racing and motorsport applications?
Yes, SuperPro can offer far increased handling performance over rubber. It is especially beneficial where a car will continue to be used on the road as well as in competition, and where nylon or rose joints are not appropriate.

Do you sell uprated SuperPro bushes for motorsport?
Given the superior performance and durability of SuperPro, we recommend that standard bushes will give you outstanding results in most applications. If after fitment and testing you are looking for even greater performance we can look at uprated bushes.

Are SuperPro Polyurethane Bushes available for classic cars?
Yes, we have an extensive range of bushes available for classic cars.

If you do not have my car listed in your catalogue, could you still help me?
We may be able to match your requirements from our existing range of over 3000 part numbers. It may also be possible to modify an existing bush or we could supply you with a polyurethane billet for you to machine yourself. We also have an ongoing program of range development and expansion.

Do SuperPro make anything else in polyurethane other than suspension Bushes?
We may be able to match your requirements from our existing range of over 3000 part numbers. It may also be possible to modify an existing bush or we could supply you with a polyurethane billet for you to machine yourself. We also have an ongoing program of range development and expansion.

Will I improve my handling by fitting SuperPro Polyurethane Suspension bushes?
Yes, by fitting SuperPro bushes you will experience consistent steering geometry, and enhanced handling and control of any vehicle as it does not deteriorate as rubber will. Due to SuperPro's unique Polyurethane material and design features, stricter tolerances can be used which will give you improved performance characteristics such as; better road holding, increased tyre life, more responsive steering, and longer service life of suspension components.

Do you recommend using grease with SuperPro bushes?
In all the locations on a vehicle where bushes have a pivoting action, it is essential that grease is used. Due to the characteristics of Polyurethane, and the way in which the bushes behave, they start to act as bearings instead of just a gap filler, and as little friction in movement as possible is vital to avoid uncomfortable increases in Noise Vibration and Harshness (NVH). All SuperPro kits include grease where necessary; of course we do not include grease where it is not necessary for the performance of the component to do so.
